• A Prayer for Men Trapped in Negativity | Cover Him Episode 63 | Praying For My lord Podcast

Throughout Scripture we see the danger of a grumbling spirit. Jonah struggled to celebrate an entire city’s repentance because he became consumed by what he believed he had lost. The Israelites experienced God’s miraculous provision, yet continually longed for the place that they had once been slaves.

In this episode, we reflect on how negativity can become a way of life, causing us to overlook God’s faithfulness while magnifying every disappointment. Together, we pray for men whose hearts have become burdened by discouragement, asking God to renew their minds, replace every lie with His truth, fill them with thanksgiving, and transform their words so that they become a source of life and encouragement to everyone around them.

May every man discover the freedom that comes from fixing his eyes on what God has done rather than on what he believes is missing.

  • The Courage to Keep Moving Forward | Episode 68 | Praying For My lord Podcast

Long after Daniel’s public position had ended, his reputation remained. When a crisis arose, those around him remembered the man whose life reflected wisdom, integrity and the presence of God.

In this episode, we reflect on Daniel 5 and consider what it truly means to leave a lasting legacy. Rather than pursuing recognition or earthly success, we pray for men to build lives marked by faithfulness, excellence and godly character. We ask God to strengthen them to choose integrity and value a good name above worldly gain, and to live in such a way that their families, workplaces and communities are drawn to Christ through their example.

May every man be encouraged that the sacrifices made in obedience to God are never overlooked. While the world celebrates monuments built by human hands, God remembers the faithful lives that honour His name.

  • A Prayer for Men Surrounded by the Wrong People | Cover Him Episode 61 | Praying For My lord Podcast

Prayer for Men Surrounded by the Wrong People

The company we keep shapes the direction we walk.

In Numbers 11, it was the rabble who first began complaining. Before long, the Israelites joined them, forgetting God’s goodness and longing for the very place where they had once been slaves. Their discontent spread through the camp and distracted God’s people from His daily provision.

In this episode, we explore what Scripture teaches about unhealthy influences and why every man needs wisdom to discern who he allows into his inner circle. Together, we pray for men to recognise relationships that encourage compromise, complaining and rebellion, while asking God to surround them with people who strengthen their faith, sharpen their character and help them remain faithful to His calling.

We also pray that God will search the hearts of these men, cleanse them of every complaining spirit and worldly desire, give them discernment to recognise unhealthy influences, and grant them the courage to walk away from relationships that pull them away from His will. May He renew and transform them for His glory. Listen here.
